I’m curious as to what changes Berkshire Hathaway are going to make in 2020(?) when they take control of P/FJ. Maybe they want their own stand alone and aren’t interested in Ranger anymore. I get the feeling that Warren Buffet is going to push P/FJ far ahead.

None of this makes a difference.
All of them combined can't keep up
With the pace loves is buying up every
Corner lot in the country and opening a
New travel center. -
Typically, Berkshire Hathaway doesn't get involved in the day to day of successful companies.

Agreed. It’s just a feeling I have. I feel like every P/FJ I go into is either new or being remodeled, and I feel like that acceleration picked up late last year. I could also be delusional.
-
Really? I feel like Warren made one of his very few bad decisions in life. He bought a bunch of real estate and can care less about PFJ.
Bean Jr. and Dale thompson Thank this. -
Its either that or close up shop. Loves is kicking their ### everywhere.
-
Ya know now that you mention it the one near my house on 611 and 90 has been remodeled and it is pretty nice. Either way he acquired killer real estate on Mericas' highways.
otterinthewater Thanks this. -
Odd. For years all we heard was “PFJ be dammed for getting too big and corporate to care about the trucker”. Now you say Loves is about to claim that “king of the hill” title and this is good?
I don’t care who builds how many truck stops as long as they get built and drivers continue to have a choice. -
I am not a fan of Road Ranger
