your profile says you have been trucking for 33 years, then you of all people should know, no matter how well you plan a trip, there is always going to be something that impedes your progress.
As for many here who don't know about this pilot, it's very small, probably no more than 40 official spots to park in, and being on one of California's busiest east west routes, it fills up early each and everyday. Yet just south and east of this location, plenty of parking to be had.heavyhaulerss Thanks this. -
well maybe if u skateboarders did not hog up all the pull through spots cause you can not back up we would not have to make a spot.joseph1135, drvrtech77, heavyhaulerss and 1 other person Thank this.

ah, the old flatbedders cant back up joke. I would love to see some of the box drivers put their trailer in these inside docks where they load from the side and the hole was built when trailers were 96 wide.
personally I can back better than many can drive forward, I could back up a rope if need be. lolbrowndawg, heavyhaulerss, tsavory and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm sure there is waaay more to the story. Maybe the driver tried to expell some trash out the window and the Pilot employee wasn't having any of it. I bet the driver thought he wasn't going to do anything and was antagonizing the employee. Anyways, the driver probably deserved it albeit he was wrong.
I don't know why they just don't start impounding trucks. If Pilot/Flying J only had their own wrecker service.HalpinUout Thanks this. -
then I would shoot for south and east, the minute I get held up, I go to plan b. I simply don't run until I am out of time and then start hunting for a hole. if if means stopping a little early, then that's it.
but if ya run in an area where parking is a problem and yet you continually have parking problems, where does the real fault lie.
actually I am up to my 35th year , and my truck is solar powered, lol -
no, the guy wasn't wrong. the guy probably needed a whipping.joseph1135 Thanks this. -
I'm certain the truck driver was not just being pleasant about this. There was a reason it led up to it.
Air Breeze and stabob Thank this. -
Obviously the Pilot employee didn't use any of the $19.99 brooms that they sell inside the truckstop. One of their brooms for sale would never do that much damage to the driver, it would just snap in half like a toothpick.
tsavory, albert l, Knucklehead619 and 3 others Thank this. -
I wonder if the clerk will miss not having that broom to fly home on???
pattyj Thanks this.
