It's kind of sucky to lose all that parking, but expansion of 22/78 has become totally necessary in recent years. There's more movement there than it's ever been. When I leave home, and headed in the direction of Birmingham, it's easier to take 40 east and jump on 269 to get to 78.
gentleroger Thanks this. -
It’s not just the parking, with the closure the closest Pilot Flying J we can refuel at now is in West Memphis-not good. And then there’s the one in Olive Branch,MS-which means you have to contend with the MDOT scalehouse on 78 (Mineral Wells)if it’s open.Of course the parking at Loves sucksabagofd****!!bryan21384 Thanks this.

That is going to be a bit of inconvenience for real, you'll have that New Albany option and hour down the road, but after that, its hopeless til Birmingham!!!mjd4277 Thanks this.

I remember the 1 pilot was a Mapco. Or was it Williams ?
-
Ummm are you sure you remember?
-
Uhh, just get diesel at another truck stop?
-
Can’t. Company driver-we’re under contract with Pilot Flying J and certain T/A Petro locations.
-
Was a Williams. And was a better stop then, though the location could sure be better.
-
was a mapco, then torn down, and a new Williams went up, then Pilot came along. I'm talking mid 90's.
navypoppop Thanks this.
