Anyone have experience working for Pilot in their tankwagon (Class B straight truck) division? They're hiring in Colorado and Texas (and a few other states) right now. I work tankwagon for another company hauling fuel (non oilfield), but I would like to know what the position is like.

I'm guessing they are hauling fuel out to some of the frac sites out there but I'm not sure.

You have to have a year experience to drive for them. Not sure what you mean.

It's out on indeed.com. Do a search for pilot tankwagon.

I was "Hired" by them in South Texas, but there was a hiring freeze because the frac was down. "You are next in line and no one else will be hired before you so call us every week but it shouldn't be more than 2 or 3 weeks."

Then they would never answer the phone. Saw the job listing back up 2 months later and tried calling. Again no answer. Called the recruiter "I don't understand" he told me. Figured it was a foreshadow of how things would be if I actually started working for them and looked elsewhere.

Company seems disorganized in my opinion.

How many years of experience do they need to hire you?

2 years driving. Driving only pays $1 more an hour than the fueler position though
