Cleaning? That ruins the coffee pot.

Lol, some might be horrified to know that I bought a coffee pot 3 years ago and it has never been cleaned. The only time I ever have a clean pot is when it croaks and I have to buy a new one.

Same with my coffee cup... never cleaned. Well, except for the time I left it on the counter at mom’s house and she washed it. It took forever for the dish soap taste to go away.

I have been casing the Pilots with the Schaerer coffee machines since last April. Satsuma, Alabama, has them. Nice coffee. Each of these brewers cost 15 grand...

That isn't free. By using your reward points to purchase something that USED TO BE free with a fill-up, you don't have those points available to use for the things you USED TO be able to buy with your points back when the coffee really WAS "free" with the fill-up.

There are still a few fuel stops that give drivers a free coffee or fountain drink with their fuel purchase...and those are the places that tend to get my business. Funny thing is, most of the time their fuel is less expensive, too.

When you figure the 1st cup of coffee they sell more than covers the cost of the beans plus water to brew the pot, do you think they really care?

I make better coffee at home with a 12-cup $20 Mr. Coffee from Walmart.
