I figure this is most likely going to be considered a newbie question, but here it is. Using a Pilot rewards card, is that only useful with commercially-used fuel purchases? I'm renting a moving truck this weekend, and I'll need to fill the tank when I'm done. Worth trying to use my rewards card, or just buy fuel anywhere it's cheap?

Just make sure you use the Truck pumps. Not positive about Pilot/J, but I know Loves doesn't give points at their 4-wheeler pumps, even if fueling diesel. I stopped to fill up the company rollback, and had to get the manager to add points to my card....

26' straight truck with an automatic, pulling a flatbed car hauler. I'm definitely not going to try maneuvering that in by all the cars..... Truck pump for sure, and even after I buy a diesel pickup, most likely. Or do they need to have MC numbers? Been a while since I fueled at a truckstop....

I filled up my F250 diesel when moving from Florida to Arizona at a couple of Flying J's and got credits back.. Using the diesel pumps on the "car side"

Also don't forget about the RV pumps, going to the truck pumps is annoying with all those stupid truck drivers

Hey, it's a good easy place to park while I run in and take a dump, get a coffee, stare at all the shiny CBs, refill my coffee, grab a doughnut or four, and then saunter back out to the truck... Yes, saunter.

Well your not going to get rich from 1 penny a gallon which is mostly what they give. You can get a free shower with a 50 gal purchase. So if you find a place with cheaper fuel, you can save money on your purchase, without getting a dollar or two in return. In other words, you can get a dollar in points and it will or could cost you 10 more dollars to do it, by paying more for the price of fuel.

I'm only driving about 240 miles one way, truck gets "up to 10mpg", I'm guesstimating closer to 6. So, maybe 40 gallons of fuel, but a penny saved, penny earned. Fuel prices that area are all pretty close to each other.
