The ones I got with the trailer are steel. I have the stuff in the shop to make an aluminum set but haven't done it yet.

The place I load still puts a forklift on the opposite side of the trailer with the forks on the deck. I'm not sure why they want pipe stakes but they do. I have only used them 5 times in 2 1/2 years and the pipe has always been bundled 2 together. I have more problems storing these #### stakes than anything else. They always vibrate to the door and lock the handles.

I will take a picture in the morning and post it just in case... maybe I didn't explain the 2x4 deal good enough... My next trailer I'm getting the new style boxes that latch on the outside.
