What does this mean? The company that is named "...... Pit and Lagoon" here is advertising for regional drivers. One of the things they haul is animal byproducts. Anyone ever haul these tankers? What should a potential driver expect as pros and cons. Thanks in advance for any input.

shower before you get in your personal vehicle. Like dairymen you may get used to or immune to the smell but others won't.:biggrin_25525:

    I hope they pay a BUNCH ! ! ! :biggrin_25525:
I worked for IBP (Iowa Beef Products) outta highschool one summer. Those "by-products" are what went into cat/dog food. Usually smelly, ALWAYS pretty gross.!

Yep, done this job too. The liquid and what will become liquid waste. Whatever is flushed from a stockyard floor goes on to become a slurry like liquid that is trucked away in tankers. Shotgun tubes, no baffles. My experience was with dredging municipal lagoons. Human waste makes wonderful fertilizer for fields and it's free to the farmer. Not a bad job really for me but we did have these two young guys who would get inside the trailers if a valve got clogged. Those two earned their money and then some. A dirty job but someone has to do it.

Because of the heavy metal build up in human fertilizer its regulated on what the crop that grows on it can be used for
Not for direct consumption like beef cattle
I'll tell you what the machines that inject in into the ground are something else to look at, down wind of course LOL
