I just have a diesel force cleaning done every 300k and don’t idle. Biggest problem with newer engines

You should try essential oils. Karen swears that she gets 100MPG loaded, uphill.

However, modern trucks are super efficent compared to what was avalible in the past. As such as a truck gets more efficent there is less to bond to and less positive gains. In something like an old coal roller like a 3406B series or a big cam cummins you would likely see quite noticible gains. In something like a MX13 far less so. Otherwise the EPA would be chomping at the bit to get this stuff mandatory as a standard fuel mix.
Also keep in mind its not the soot that clogs up your EGR and such. Its the ash, so while you may produce less SOOT i.e less black smears on your trailer. And keep in mind this next part is only what i have read elsewhere and may be wrong. You may actully produce as much or more ash depending on the formula used or how your engine runs. Though in some cases you can produce less.
So again id just pay to have the system cleaned a couple times a year. Not that expensive and you can schedule it for down time as well as have a full health check done on the system to head off problems.Short Fuse EOD and TallJoe Thank this. -
