    Had a driver pull into the scales coming into MO from Cairo, intent on asking DOT if it was legal for us to have him use his 16 hour exception (spoiler- it was!)

    He was placed OOS when he kept asking, “huh?” to the officer, as his hearing aids were obviously not working. Poor guy had to sit almost all night before we could get another driver up to recover the truck; bonus was that corporate wouldn’t allow him back until his physician cleared him.

    Unfortunately we wasn’t fired as a result of this stunt - it took him being caught and filmed in the act of road raging on a SUV to finally wind up sh¡tcanned.
