Next week I am probably buying a 94 W9 I found, it is red, if I get it I will be getting it repainted sometime in the next year, I have been playing around with different ideas and think I have found one I like.

It is not an image of the truck but one very similar, the one I am looking at has 150 gal tanks, and the WB is slightly longer.
I think it will look really sharp though especially with a step deck painted to match.
Playing with paint schemes.

What ever you decide please post step by step photos.

Does it have paint on it now? Why bother? Thanks.
-
Whatever you decide color wise, just make sure you use a good primer. It will cost a decent amount but it will add years to your paint job.
-
Absolutely, when I paint it going to strip it completely, then going to go back over it with Imron.

If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand.Joetro, Ruthless, Cetane+ and 1 other person Thank this.

I like it! The three-color stripe has always been a favorite of mine. It gives it a vintage look with modern lines.RenegadeTrucker Thanks this.

I just done my Pete, during the process I considered leaving it alone and going for the rat rod look. Now that its done it was worth all the time and effort. I went a little more basic but love the look of the stripes. I could never get mine laid out to suit me. I used a etching primer followed by Nason grey filler primer, followed by Imron.
dannythetrucker Thanks this. -
i didnt know anybody painted with imron anymore. the strips are good but i would change the the orange stripe to make the stripe pop a little better. with all that red the orange stripe will look faded. that is just my thoughts. be safe out there
