Wore out wasn't personally attacking u like u are to me but here goes. First off some paints are not available every where states have rules on some products availability. second repairs are made so much easier using bc/cc then single stage but then anything painted with Imron never has to be repaired or painted again forever right? third you can do multi colors such as stripes or designs so much faster and easier. Then clear over everything when done laying out design. Plus metallics will have more depth and be brighter then your Imron. Plus we all know that these truck washes are so easy on paint that a Imron painted truck will never have to be polished just like aluminum never needs any care or polishing. Hope a car or animal or anything else don't damage your paint where you got to panel paint it hey you can blend single stage don't screw up buffing it will leave a nice little blend line. Heck it might match because humidity and temp and paint gun or air pressure don't affect paint at all lol. But hey I know nothing am clueless only did it till 21 then started driving my dad been doing it for 47 years and still going strong painted many a street rod a lot of custom bikes including trucks and busses. I am still Icar and ase ppg certified on painting, electrical, hvac, wheel alignments and frame or unibody repair but hey iam clueless.

I wasn't personally attacking you, you made a real general false statement. However I agree with a lot you said in this post especially the stripes and metallic. If you run a product down give the alternative. I don't think that clear has the durability in truck washes that Imron has we differ there. You may be right as I'm going from hear say and my opinion. Not facts written by manufacturers. I'm sorry you felt attacked, but if you read your post you came across as a real smart Alec. I posted pictures to show my work have yet to see yours. Again not trying to be smart about it. I have been a field mechanic all my life not a body man, but I know some dang good back yard body shops. Like you I have held a CDL since a very early age but only drove when work was slow or it was winter. Its a full time commitment now as I've scaled back the major work and have two hired to do the rest. So really I'm not a body man. In all honesty educate me don't ridicule my current thoughts tell me whats better and show me why. I have an open mind and believe there is something to learn from every body. Honestly the "why would anybody use cheap old Imron when there is much better products out there" comment came off as strong. I replied in the same manner.
