Well having arrived here from Ireland where I drove trucks all over europe for 12years I am finding it hard to get a driving job, :biggrin_25513:I have phoned all the swifts etc without much look, but all have offerd me O/O advise saying it could be my only way into the job?? I have my CDL-A but people think that europe drive on the wrong side and are worried that I might crash the truck!! :biggrin_25523:Anyway why it might be true for Ireland & UK I have been driving a right hand drive truck on the left hand side for years with no accidents and I've been here for 4 years now with no bumps or scrapes, I think I'm pretty good.
So I would like to know if anybody knows of a company in the NJ area (I live in Asbury Park) that might take a rookie on like and O/O or a team guy etc that can teach me for the 3 months that these guys are asking for, please point me in the right direction, I would just like to go to work. Many Thanks.

As a fellow desendent of irish blood,(names Rooney, greatgrandfather from county cork) all I can suggest is keep pounding on doors and don't give up. Your job is out there. I've met numorus drivers from all over europe, they got jobs and you can as well. I didn't look to see what part of the country your in,but if your on the west coast, ask cybergal for my e-mail and I may be able to give you a few ideas
