What I actually said when I got a ticket for not moving my tandems "What are we going to do?". The officer's responce "Give you a ticket".

Lame

 

Ok he was not arrested for being a ###. He was arrested for the violation he was about to get a warning for. A ticket is a courtesy summons. At any time the officer can arrest you for it instead of issuing the summons. Sounds like this driver argued his way out of a warning.

 

"Are you a US citizen?"
Yes
"Is there anyone else in the truck with you?"
No
"Have a good day."

I’m pretty sure if they don’t believe you and suspect you of something they will take up further.

 

I can tell you that them guys that ask if you are a US citizen, does not have much of a sense of humor. I ask one down at Laredo if it wouldn't make more sense if I ask him that, the guy couldn't take a joke at all. lol

 

A great mystery.

Go to customs gate hand DL, BOL etc. Answer a few questions.

Go to Winsdor Customs House and Parking/Insepction area. Find the broker in the far back corner of the lot that has many brokers.

Lean on half dutch doorway and eyeball reams, stacks and pillars of our fine commerce flowing to and from the border.

They don't see me before, don't remember a #### thing from last trip and nothing But yet they lean half way out of the chair put a couple of fingers onto a paper, Jenga the #### thing out of the pile hand it to me.

I don't know how they get away with this precision while buried in papers al the day long.

 

Usually, the US Citizen question is a stall tactic that keeps you there just long enough for your truck info to clear or to walk a dog near your rig.
