You're 100% right, all jokes aside.
The driver may have one calm, brief explanationn to make to the officer. If that doesn't solve things, the only way to handle things is through the process. You don't win arguments with customers or cops. Even if you "win" they decide who is put in "the penalty box."

 

So far I have found this to be true. I respect and they return it.

 

I find that this help me out sometimes.

 

Back a couple of decades ago I made a mistake of a whistle at the officer who pulled me over, she was real good looking but not amused, 5 other officers were there quickly. Not a good day

There was a really cute female officer in town a few years back. I often contemplated if it was worth getting a stunting ticket for doing a burnout in hopes of getting her number
