I work for Watkins & Shepard Trucking and as of the first of the year 2018 they will be sold to Schneider. Regardless of the sell to Schneider, people coming and going, and the typical retention issues which comes with the sale of company. I was contacted today from my company telling me that since I am a California CDL driver my Stop Pay (line 4) will be ommited perminately and be replaced by Off Duty pay which is the current California hour rate of $11.00/hr. I do over 100 stops per month which pays me $20/stop plus my miles which averages 12,000/month. If you do the math you will figure out why I am pissed.
Please Explain This To Me...Please??

The sad part is that there are plenty of Schneider drivers who will fight for your route for half as much. By the way, I'm a Schneider driver, that account looks so tasty I might even take it.
Edit: 12000*$0.44=$5280 a month plus hourly probably average take home about $300 more a week for me. Plus home a lot (assuming). Good deal for a mega otr driver. -
NavigatorWife, Puppage and QuietStorm Thank this.

The bigger question is how much time do you spend at these stops?
QuietStorm Thanks this. -
Avacados are 5-8 for a dollar when you get off route in CA. Aparently they aren't known to cause cancer in the state of California. Must be a good deal.
QuietStorm Thanks this. -
