    Hi Everyone,

Still thinking about becoming an indep. O/O (currently a fleet driver). Had another question that popped into my mind. Currently, before each load, my dispatch sends me a print out of all the load information (Pick up, cargo, stops, etc). I was wondering how independent O/O receive this information from a broker/shipper. Is it sent directly to me in a sheet? Will I have to call and have to write it down? My dispatch handles all of this for me now, so any feedback would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance!

Rate conformation sheet will have all the info you will need most times.

    MapTrotter23 Thanks this.

Well, Samtheman, It's not the same because my dispatch doesnt currently give me my rate confirmation. Just the job details and how much I'll be paid. Is getting a rate confirmation normal for a fleet driver?

Yes it is. You just get the filtered version. Instead of having a dispatcher get the confirmation then read parts of it to you, you will get it straight from the broker. If something isn't there, you then get to call them back and ask for it. Then when you get to where you're going, you will have the wrong PO numbers and get to call in again, probably on hold a while with their night desk. Then when you get detained for hours, you can call the broker again and complain and threaten. He will then promise all sorts of things then go do something else when you're out of his ear.

    See a pattern? LOL
