Well china, I would tell the op this ....
I would not ever worry about it for a job.

Just apply and apply, don't stop until you get a call. Most likely you'll get a call quickly.

This is a personal accident with only a concern when you change insurance company for the personal car they will bring it up.

    CrappieJunkie and Chinatown Thank this.

Just like everything now days, there's a database for insurance companies. Since his incident is being handled by the two opposing insurance companies, i'd bet there is a papertrail that will end up in that database.
The insurance company for whomever he signs up with will probably run his name and DL# through there database, so this incident might show up. How much weight the apply to this is anyone's guess.
I'd apply and if it don't work out, ally somewhere else.

Yes, report it. No it should not hinder your chances at a job as long as you have nothing else on your record. Most companies want 2 or fewer accidents in 3 year time frame.

It's not a reportable DOT accident. DOT reportable accident is when someone gets hurt and goes to the hospital or when a vehicle has to be towed. So Hell no!!! I wouldn't tell them about it.

    Dear Everyone,

Thank you all. You guys are fantastically nice and helpful. I did not expect respond so quickly. The insurance said, the lady was speeding, but I still own 60% of the fault. She did not even claim my insurance. My insurance told me they would not get involve as I have a liability insurance. But if yes, they said it should not be my fault, at least split responsibility 50/50.
I will take this as a lesson. What I care about is my career after all. All the answer from you guys are helpful and I am sure I can be a more careful driver after this one. Drive safe everyone, Thanks again.

Special thanks to Chinatown for all the job opportunities.
