I got a problem now 2010 international ProStar eagle. First off the mechanic shop that left the hood open and the windows down for two months allowing water to flow through is no longer in business they have been taken to court have filed bankruptcy, so there is no making them fix it.
I have cleaned all the battery grounds even the grounds to the chassis and to the firewall of the cab. We changed the body control module out to a new one we had it flashed one that didn't work we had it re-flashed and reevaluated however the computer does not show any faults in the system it sees the wipers ( turn selector lever )
and Cruise control not responding. ( Controls on steering wheel other functions on the steering wheel controls work )
I think the problem is in the fuse box. I have replaced all of the relays and all of the fuses once again done this several times in the past.
I do not have cruise control, and I cannot activate engine breaks, and AC compressor clutch won’t spin as well as windshield wipers won’t actually no power to the AC system, I used the alternator to fill it so I know the clutch is working. I also have the transmission temperature gauge reading zero and it's got a yellow light on it.
The truck was left at the mechanic with the Hood open and the windows open for a couple of months until I found out.
So this all has to be a common issue or a common situation linked together??
I think what I need to know is how do I remove the terminals from the fuse box the relay for the wiper high and low I think is the same relay for the rest maybe but I think the fuse box may be the issue so is there a way to rewire or how do I get the terminals out of the fuse box so that I can squeeze them tighter?
What say you?
Or how about a wire diagram for these issues from the turn selector lever to the relay to the wiper motor.
From the smart wheel controls ( it has two controllers on the right and left of the steering wheel ) to the relay How do I trace all this down? What is the comment denominator in everything?
Please help no wipers, no Cruze, no engine brake engage

Data link

What does that mean?
-
If you have to ask, bring it to the dealer, then get a lawyer to sue the mechanic.
-
Yeah Mechanic is out of business and filed for bankruptcy there is no lawsuit going to happen.
I took the truck to the dealer and they ran their program and could not see anything that was wrong.
That’s a simple word Data Link means what? Are we talking about the one in the dashboard under the fuse box or the one just to the left of the fuse in the panel?
Is the only way to check it with a nexit or Cummins insight hooked up?
I’ve already spent a lot of money at international dealer and a lot of time waiting for available technicians they have gone over the truck twice -
Nope, you go after the guy, Bankrupcy doesn’t protect him
ok if you don’t have cruise and wipers it is the body module, if the dealer says there isn’t wrong, go to another one because they should be able to find the problem. -
Yeah but how is there going to be any money the guy is in jail and the business is closed.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Restitution is handed out by the court and it will be a situation that he will have to deal with.
-
Yup in most cases the court will pay out to you by collecting it from any and all assets he may or may not have which will be auctioned off and the procedes split between any open cases against that person while in prison. Afterwards they are put into a work program to help pay the rest until they are released. After which either you or the court depending on state and/or federal laws involved will garnish his wages until the debt is paid.
That said your not going to get a lot of money and it wont be quick, think years or even decades depending on the amount owed. I think the national average prision work labor pay rate is $0.11 an hour. But eventually as long as the guy doesnt die or didnt get life you will get it all back.Rbbrducker Thanks this. -
Another point is if the mechanic filed for bankruptcy and it has not been discharged, a judgement against them for negligence will stop the process and push a settlement up on the list.Bean Jr. Thanks this.
