Stevens if you are going to work cheap you just as well stick with a company out of Dallas where they have as little icy roads/routs as possible

    Stevens, because they have APU's.

    Their equipment:

Stevens’ drivers enjoy the comfort and prestige of driving a top-of-the-line Kenworth T-700 Conventional Tractor, which is fitted with all the features that drivers want . The Kenworth T-700 is considered by many to be one of the most luxurious tractors manufactured. Your premium length double bunk sleeper has plenty of space to enjoy life on the road. Drivers often customize their rides with most of the comforts of home, such as a satellite TV, stereo, computer, refrigerator, and microwave. Stevens operates North America’s largest line of Kenworth T-700 Conventional Tractors, complemented by a fleet of nearly 3000 53’ X 102’ Thermo King equipped Utility trailers. The average age of Stevens’ entire fleet is less than 12 months and every truck is still under warranty. Our tractors and trailers are meticulously maintained with timely, rigorous inspections.

Stevens has APU's, so that would be my choice.

The downside with Stevens is the reefer "Wait" you will encounter at meat plants/produce. The downside with Werner is cpm loaded and empty is not the same. If I had to choose with a gun to my head... Werner barely! Stick with dry van.

I have been investigating Stevens quite a bit because I live here in Dallas. They seem to be a really straight forward company with my questions. Once you pass your training, sect., you go OTR with a trainer for about eight weeks covering all phases of terrain in the lower 48 states. Starting pay is 26 ccm for the first 3 months. 3-6 months is 28 cpm. 9 to 12 months is 30cpm.

Even if weiner had APUs ans Stevens did not, I would still go with Stevens. Give us a hard choice...like Weiner, CRE or Death.
