As with many new drivers I would like some feedback on what kind of milage drivers are running in these economic times. The companies all say about 2500 to 2800 per week. They also say the ones who do not get the miles are not working hard or smart. I have talked to two drivers a company and a lease operator about their earnings. It seems that in both cases in any 4 or 5 week period they have one or two good weeks and one or two bad weeks. I am also considering other employment till the recession eases up. I would keep my CDL but my question is what would I have to do to beable to get back into trucking. My experience is only my school and 3 weeks training with a trucking company. Thank You

well means u have no training accroding to most companies - ur considered inexperienced for surely. so long as u dont have nothing bad against u ffrom the company u were with u should be fine. i did ok most weeks where i worked and had a few duds for pay weeks. way it goes man. as for working hard or smart not really depends on how much ### u kiss with driver manager to get good loads. way it is and prove yourself on the road with being on time and what not. - i was late once and after that i got #### on everyload was short to get a decent one ....just do urself a favor dont go to Swift.
