Not to be pessimistic good sir. But I’ve looked up lists of supposed sap friendly companies online. And contacted, and applied to several companies on those lists. Only to find that when I speak with their recruiters, I’m usually told that they are in fact ( not sap friendly ).. to be fair to you however, I do not believe that I have tried any of your suggestions.. thank you

Mr. Chinatown. Hello and good evening good sir, I actually tried finding a way to communicate with you on here. I see that you are a genuinely caring and considerate individual who always tries to help others out, offer constructive advice and support as well as provide some valuable resources and feedback.. you are one of a dying breed my friend. I wish you and all of your loved ones to enjoy a truly wonderful and Blessed life..

My CDL -A is issued from Washington state. However I have a residence in Tennessee as well..
most importantly tho. Driving semi trucks is a passion and a lifestyle to me. So, my go to response is: I am generally located wherever I stop for my 10 hour, as well as my 34.. I live and work OTR, and work and live OTR.. lastly, I have 18 months on my CDL, graduated from 160 academy ( one and Done.!! -
@HotRod2272 The time frame from the failed drug test is going to be your biggest obstacle. Yes they tell you to do SAP, but I'm somewhat inclined to think that it's become a money grab. The companies that are worth going to are going to most likely tell you that they won't touch a driver with a drug or alcohol event for 3 years, even with SAP. Other companies will say 5, 7, 10, or they will just outright disqualify you (JNJ Express and Ozark out of Memphis are 2 that do not hire any driver with a positive drug test....just examples). I did haul beverages in Nashville for a year, and was fortunate to get that job not even a year after my failed test. Then I did the 1099 thing for a while and got my record drug and alcohol record straight. You could try Pepsi, Coke, those types of companies, but don't hold your breath. You may have to go work for a less than stellar company in order to give this some time to pass. At least yoi can earn a check and pick recent verifiable experience. Just don't piss off anybody during this time lol. -
Unfortunately, I fear that you are more than correct.. case in point, I signed on with SUPER EGO ( out of desperation ) 3 days ago and I’m already getting the bait and switch. They treated me like a king when I walked through the door, and instantly reversed to treating me like dirt the very day I hit the road..
bryan21384 Thanks this. -
If you're with Super Ego, better stick with it for a few months. The SAP plus job hopping will sideline you for a couple of years at best.
tscottme, bryan21384 and Lonwolv54 Thank this.
