I have been an O/O for about a year now after being a company driver for ROEHL for 4 years. I have a 2007 Columbia with 330k miles. I get a PM done every 40k miles, which is the miles that ROEHL does the PMs on their company trucks.
My question is..
Are fuel and oil additives worth it, or just a waste of money?
And how often do you usually get your PM service done on your truck?
PM schedule/ Fuel and Oil additives, do they work?

40K miles between services is taking it a bit far IMO, I'd do 10K for a lube and 20K for a B service, I do my own wrenchen and never take it to a shop for that kind of stuff, I think just a lube is an (A) service and a (B) service is the lube, oil and adjustments, someone will correct me if I am wrong. I am big on prevention so that may be over doing it for some. Point two, what additives are you asking about? Winter anti jell works good. most Lucas oil products are good. Hope that helps.

For fuel I usially use fppf diesel power fppf. It seems to be more effective in improving mpg (up to 5%) than other additives so far. I also use it in my small car.
As for oil, I use xado for protecting crank shaft. Also I have ordered FS-2500 Bypass Oil Filter system. When I install it, it would save me ~$1500 first year and ~$2500 every next year on oil changes (with $300 PM charge on average truck shop and my PM service pattern(15000 miles)). -
Charli Girl Thanks this.

07 is when REGEN first really came out and they had all the hiccups -
-
DPF is not REGEN DPF came out in 08
REGEN was tested in late 06 and 07 -
DPF was basically the UPGRADE ( if you believe in upgrade to a flaw ) to REGEN after REGEN proved to be a massive headache . Of course so is DPF

I have a 2008 Freightliner Columbia with 576000. Before I went to the Oil Purification System (OPS) I would change my oil every 15000 and lube at 7500. Now with the OPS I might do it every 200000, plus I switched to Amsoil full synthetic. Now I send an oil sample and just change filters.

only if it's a LATE 2007. EAP07 would be an 07 engine, 2008 chassis to have DPF and EGR.
My 07 century only has an EGR on it.
My personal recommendation is, don't go past 30,000 miles and oil sample at 12 and 22,000 miles. Per the detroit, oil changes at 30K miles if truck is driven over 60,000 annually. (OTR)
My last oil change was at 28,000 miles and that was when it decided I needed to add a gallon of oil to the engine. I sampled at 12 and 20,000 miles and It still should the same both times on all categories.
