Any drivers looking into hauling cars should avoid pmtg. The first six months are hell. You are not allowed to load at night so you wait around alot for daylight to get loaded. Unless you pick up in RI. I once spent three weeks going from Port Newark, NJ to NY city and back. Port Newark has some of the cheapest freight you can haul aside from Suburu's. If you like driving NY city, then you might be able to deal with the lack of high paying freight and not being able to load at night. But I spent far too much time going to the bronx, queens, and long island city. I also wasnt getting home near as often as they promised. They do not take care of their trucks, so you also spend quite a bit of time on the side of the road waiting for road service. My first month there my truck broke down five times. And if you dont want the ticket in Jersey for talking on your cell phone while driving, you will spend even more time at the vince lombardi or one of the other stops on the turnpike waiting for your dispatcher to answer your call every morning. The check call you have to make on the qualcomm every morning is not enough, they still want you to call. Figure on a minimum of fifteen minutes before your dispatcher answers. I know this has been very wordy, but I just want to give every driver a heads up. You can make alot of money out there hauling cars, just not at pmtg.
