    Hi all,
The other day, a fellow driver gave me a good idea. I was griping about my daily 220 mile deadhead home and how I get bored easily and don't find the xm worth listening to. He mentioned he listens to various podcasts and I never had thought of that idea. Just download them to Itunes, or let it download them, upload them to the mp3 player and there ya go.

Does anyone do this? Im looking for suggestions of good programs. Open to anything.
Right now, I have Dave Ramseys program, as well as a pastor from CA, and CarTalk.

Ziggy are you going to Dave's show in CO Springs in April?

I like listening to John Gibson, but you have to be able to handle his sense of humor. I think you can get the podcast at gibsonradio or some thing like that.

One thing I started doing was getting audio books on CD. You can get them just like Netflix now. If you are interested PM me your email address and I'll send you an invite from the one I use. That way I can get the credits from referring you. :D

Brickman, I hadn't heard about Dave coming to Co Springs. Im probably going to have to work anyways with my luck!

I havent heard of John Gibson (I dont think so anyways). Will look into that when I get back tonight...just got called from the team bringing me my freight...off to work I go.

I was thinking about Audio books too, is that service you use free or is there a charge for it? I know I have a link for an free audio book website buried in my bookmarks, will have to dig it out later tonight.

I also was thinking of getting the James Earl Jones on bible via podcast...about 20 bucks.

Dave will be in the Springs April 5 its a saturday.

The audio book on CD service I use isn't free. I paid for a yr at $180 in order to save $25 over the monthly rate.

lol figures its on a Sat...one of my work days. Hmmm.

I might have to see if the audio book route is something I want to try.
Here is that site I mentioned this morning...from what I can see, its mostly older books. But eh, lol if you like that sort of thing, lol....

Scott Sigler makes some really good ipod books that can be downloaded from itunes as podcasts, same with Greg Crites (my favorite). Really helps the miles go by

A lot of these TWIT (This Week in Tech) podcasts are good. There's a lot of comedy included with the tech news.

John Gibson is the best thing on radio. Fridays "hip-hop week in review" is a definite don't miss. I get a kick out of Christine. A few times their interaction and some of his callers have almost caused me to go off the road laughing so hard.
