so im a new driver with 6 months otr experience(reefer) im looking to get into getting into tanker work. i do a some felonies on my record but other than that my driving record is clean. i currently have a tanker endorsement with no hazmat endorsement. ive heard about people hauling water and was wondering if anyone had anymore info on this or could recommend a few companies who would give me a shot with my felonies and would be willing to train me pulling tanks.

There's more tanker work that doesn't require a hazmat than most realize. Besides hauling water, if you're anywhere near any dairy industry there's also alot of milk hauling. And, used to be alot of brine water hauling involved with the oil industry. When I was a kid back in the 70's I knew several who hauled brine for the oil industry. Unsure if the industry has changed with regard to that or not since then.
Anyway, any food grade tanker stuff is single bore tanks with no baffling, so slosh is more a factor.
Good luck in finding something. I had thought when I started I might like to do tanker work. But, ended up doing reefer work with a company I enjoy working for. They don't do any tanker work. So, no plans currently to switch to tanker. But, should my situation change, I still think I would enjoy tanker work.

Don't know if you would meet their requirements or if commute is too far but my buddy just transferred to Mims to supply refrigerated liquid to the NASA facility at Cape Canaveral.
He starts on Monday at Linde

I miss the road, but I also like my home daily thing( non trucking) my pay sucks bad but the trade off of sleeping in my own bed, making my own food, enjoying a cold brewski kinda makes up for it I guess

Might want to add TransFlow and Florida Rock & Tank to that list.
