Just for the record, I am not a smoker. I just hate whiners.

That is completely uncalled for. There is no reason whatsoever for making a mess.

I would spray Febreze if the non-smoker supplied it, otherwise it's his problem if he wants to complain, because I'm not listening to it.

I don't feel that's asking too much, but I'd just close it and go on about my business.

When I smoked, I never managed to cover the gauges with ashes. I think one has to be trying to do that

Well, some people just have to invent things to complain about.

Well then that's quite admirable, but I've never seen people actually making an effort to blow smoke in anyone else's face as this would be extremely rude, and may get you a fist in the mouth from some.

No, it's not the same as everything else, because some people do entirely too much complaining, and act as if it is their name on the door.

I did once, and it didn't bother me.

This discusting behavior is beneath contempt, especially when they leave it. I don't know what's worse, the tobacco spit bottle, or the urine bottle. I'll tolerate a fair amount, but that exceeds even my limits, and will refuse to drive the truck if I find anything of the sort.

If you think asking someone not to smoke in a truck that you use 98 % of the time is whining, then you definitely are a rude individual with no respect for anyone else except yourself, but thanks for the tip because now I know what to do anytime someone uses my truck and trashes it with cigarette ashes and smell I will just borrow their truck and urinate in it. That really shouldn't bother them though because after all, everyone urinates, but not everyone smokes!

i used to do something more horrendous. i would go to the local CVS store, or Walgreen's and go to the cosmetic counter. i would ask the salesgirl for help in getting the "cheapest", "smellyest" perfume they had. the salesgirl(s) would look at me like i had 2 heads. then i explained.

i would take these "horrible" perfumes and pour them down into the defroster vents, and the heater vents. there wouldn't be any odor.............

till the driver turned on either the heater or defroster. i got away with this, and was never caught. i did tell my closest friend what i was doing, he laughed his butt off.

we all hated that "particualr" driver and no one ever wanted to ride down the road with him. he was dangerous. he would tailgate ANYONE, he would nearly side swipe you as he passed. we all complained to the managemnet but to no avail.

    then i took over...................

i once even thought about placing dog "you know what" up and under his seat where he couldn't find it.

but the perfume odor was more than enough to drive him insane.........

Of course now that you are an adult, I am sure you have gotten past this childish behavior!

When I drive,I smoke. It`s my truck,I smoke. If they put someone with me,I tell them I smoke, deal with it.Now if the person seems to be nice I wont smoke in their face because I also TRY to be a nice person. But don`t tell me I can`t smoke.I`m a vet,an American, and I speak English. This is one of my last acts of defiance!!:headbang:

I completely agree with you. Being courteous is a good thing! Smoking is a personal decision. When it is your truck you should do what you want, when you share a truck you should return the truck in the same condition as or better than you got it, especially when your name is not on the door. Childish games don't help the situation but some people will never learn that a little respect for yourself and others goes a long way!

If I'm riding with a smoker, I'm usually fine as long as open their window.

Sir, again you missed my point. If I were a smoker, and someone were to ask me politely not to smoke in a truck that he and I were sharing, I might agree to his request. But if that someone, upon finding out that I were the one he was to be slipseating with, were to walk up to me, not knowing me from the man in the moon of course, and just flat out demand that I not smoke in his truck (as opposed to the company's truck), then that is another ballgame, and such behavior would not be well received by me.

Fine, then I will agree to disagree with you. It is not always in your best interest to fight fire with fire. Every once in a while a little diplomacy works better, but that is why we are all keyed differently! Childish pranks in response to disrespectful morons is so cliche, I prefer to be unique.

The son of the owner of the schoolbus company I drive for smokes his cigars on the buses when he drives them (no kids are on at the time). Then he leaves the ashes on the floor, so when I get on the bus....I have to clean up the ashes and try to air out the smell, because the whole bus stinks. I don't want my kids to have allergic reactions because of this.....not to mention the headache I get from the smell. Am I whining...perhaps...but it is posted "No Smoking".
