I lost my Grandfather to lung cancer. He smoked all his life.

I lost my Grandmother on the other side from a stroke. Related to smoking

My Aunt had to have several large arteries replaced in her leg and stomach due to smoking.

My neighbors Dad. Has emphazema (don't know if I spelled that right) and has to keep oxygen bottles next to him all the time. He can barely get around because he can't catch his breath. He's smoked all his life.

That's just a few people that were or are close to me.

My Grandfather passed away peacefully because he was honest with himself. He never lied. He would do things he knew were not good, admit it, and accept the outcome. If you smokers out there want to deny the truth........ go ahead, do or tell yourself whatever makes you feel better about your smoking, but you'll die more peacefully if your just more honest with yourself. Good luck.

Actually, the motivation is exactly the same: money. Anything the government can demonize they can increase taxes on to increase their revenues.

If the government honestly wanted people to stop smoking they wouldn't fund important programs like SCHIP with tax revenues from a product they want people to stop using.

But you have no problems with fumes and exhaust. Most smokers, now days, will try to be polite and steer clear of non-smokers. I wish non-smokers (with noise polluting, un-solicited opinions) would return the favor.

I would like to see them.

I have most of them talking to me blowing the smoke directly into my face.

If I move to get out of the smoke, they move as well.

No excuses for people like that. If you move and they follow Then they are fair game for a beat down.:biggrin_25525: I smoke and I am quick to jump on other smokers if being rude. I don't smoke in my house, but the patio is the smoking section. Enter at your own risk.
