Poll Only For Those Who Have Used Both : Rand McNally vs Garmin

I have used both over the years. There was a lot of features on the Rand that I appreciated and for the most part their routing was on point. The Garmin has a tendency of wanting you to perform U Turns in the middle of nowhere as the maps have not been updated on allowed truck routes in certain areas. Now the major difference was that each costed about the same, which is way too expensive by the way, the Rand didn't even last a year and the Garmin is soon to turn 5. Until I hear that Rand are lasting as long as the Garmin I will stick with the Garmin
