Doing my physical/drug test out here and then hopefully flying to GP for the orientation on June 6th. Perhaps they will cut me loose early on the orientation as it seems to run 5 days now.

Got the call to come back to orientation on Monday. Don't now if I will have to stay the whole week or not yet. Flying me back to Henderson to pick up a truck after that. Hopefully my old rig is still sitting out there as I know what has and hasn't been done to it. Now without a woman at the house to attend to I should be able to run like a banshee and stack cash to the ceiling
tucker, againstthewind, 28 and 1 other person Thank this. -
First day in the books. Talked to the one remaining driver that went through orientation with me the first time and got the lowdown on how things are going now. Seems some of our better loads have been farmed out to outside carriers. Will be interesting to see how things go from here, perhaps won't affect me as much as I tend to stay out west. Being flown back to Henderson Wednesday afternoon and should be back on the road by Saturday. Looking forward to hitting the back roads soon.

I'm sitting at Poly in G.P. right now. Spoke to a driver an hour ago. He has a U-Haul truck he's unloading his stuff into.. He rented it to go back home in Kentucky and work for another company. Don't ask me, I don't know why he didn't rent a car.
He said He's only made $16,000 so far this year. He said his truck has been in the shop over 50 days so far.
I guess at Poly it's the "luck of the draw".
My truck broke down in Salt Lake City last week. International got it fixed in 24 hrs..
Had I been at G.P. the truck would probably still be in the shop. That seems to be the trick, run your truck as far away from the company shop and have the work done elsewhere.
I rang up one night at a hotel. Last time it took them 2 months to reimburse me for the hotel.Last edited: Jun 8, 2016
