Well the Cat truck was an International Paystar. (And a Prostar in Austrailia.) But Cat designed the interior and dash which is what the International HX has in it now.
So the old interior like I had in my 9900i and 5600i Paystar are gone and replaced now with that goofy cyclops tach/speedo gauge.

I haven't read anything official yet but I'm pretty sure the 9900i is being phased out right now. Because that is the only model still using the old interior and dash (which I prefer.)
So soon I think in order to get 9900i looks you will have to get the HX520.

The hx only comes as a day cab or with the 51” sleeper.

    SAR and Nothereoften Thank this.

You are correct. Flat top or high rise. No 72".

And the HX has the bigger Paystar frame and more suspension options.

    Humblepie Thanks this.

I run a 5900 with an aftermarket sleeper. I would love to have an hx with a 51” bunk

    SAR Thanks this.

Nice. Most kids would never identify the D2. That complete chrome grill was shared with the next model K2 however the Canadian built chrome grills were painted over as we were already involved in WW2 and no chrome showing on trucks at that time.
Old girlfriend sent me these pics last month of D model next project

I think the truck shown is a late 30's D-30.

Lone Star was designed with a Art Deco flair popular in the ‘30’s
Obviously kids today prefer the “kitchen appliance” appearance of modern trucks and cars

Yes its a D30, runs. Her plan is bone stock to use as shop truck. Not bad for $1500 considering the steel deck is solid, just needs new boards. I see one indication of it being a Canadian built unit, could be more once I see the interior stripped.

I'm still trying to find the pics I took of Lonestar's up here pulling log and chip wagons in and out of the bush.
Just to show these "plastic" trucks ### some guys called them, hold together off road just as well as any other truck. They're only downfall was the same as every other brand.....their Cummin's motors are all deleted, LOL.
Lots of nice 9900i loggers in my area too. (This Lonestar is not my pic, not sure where I LS2 (Large).png 009 (2) (Large).JPG 007 (2) (Large).JPG found it.)

IMG_0010 (Medium).jpg IMG (Medium).jpg And my old 2002 9900i. C15 Cat powered. It's still working every day. Last time I looked in it, it had 1.5 million miles on it and has never had a major breakdown. Most reliable truck I have ever seen. Wish I still had it.
Also been around a fleet of 9400's that pulled 5 axle trailers in and out of the bush and mines that also refused to die. A lot of guys have poor opinions of International, and their Maxxforce failure doesn't help that, but the old 5000 and 9000 series trucks were pretty tough.

    Jazz1 and Oxbow Thank this.
