anybody been out there with a 48' or 53' trailer? I was out on the island 2 years ago, only 1 time, and not on the waterfront.
I have the big equip coming via a rigging company and that is completely manageable, but the workbenches, cabinets, racking etc is probably coming in piecemeal via dry van. I only now looked at Bing maps and see that the door looks like a ####show for access
I mean I only did flatbed for the obvious reason- I didn't want to have to back up (LOLOLOL) but is this even feasible for one of you Super Trucker guys? The only access is this overhead door on the side- My purple highlight...

Doesnt look fun but looks doable, (probably) what are you taking in there? Standard legal freight or os/ow?
Also, dont be too put off by the existing pics, looks like theyre from a time under major construction, maybe you get there and theyve got everything all cleaned up and outta the wayCAXPT Thanks this. -
my company is bidding a job there to furnish and install a huge machine shop. nothing os/ow, just stuff like Bridgeport milling machines, engine lathes, sanding/grinding/blasting/cutting/drilling etc.
and LOTS of workbenches, tool cabinets, pallet racks etc. dozens of suppliers, so dozens of shippers... just making a last check on the details before I bid...
also- military bases seem to always be building a project, prepping for a project, not yet cleaned up after a project- it's like a 5 years olds bedroom floor. you won't likely find it cleaned up everCAXPT and homeskillet Thank this. -
One of the good parts of working on a military site. If you tell them you need X space to load/unload or otherwise work, they will make sure it is clear for the operation.
CAXPT, homeskillet, Sons Hero and 1 other person Thank this. -
For reference, in yards
