    AfterShock's Star Spangled Free Advice and Food For Thought.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Bullyboy,
    As appetizing and tempting as just eating on the road is, you should pass up the temptation to dine there. Salt Lick City has many fine eating establishments, called 'restaurants' where more nourishing meals are served.
    When C.R. England training includes eating on the road to starvation, it's just their attempt to eliminate the road-kill that litters the highways and byways in Utah. The road department employees in Utah are a tad lazy when it comes to removing carcases and prefer that Big truck truckin' wannabees assist them in their daily tasks.
    Although the menu on the road is quite varied, y'all will be missing out on the cute waitresses who work in the area restaurants --- if y'all only dine on the road. One menu item that AfterShock particularly enjoys in the third person -- is scone -- especially with breakfast. In AfterShock's not so humble opinion, Utah should leave the bees for another state, and refer to Utah as 'The State 0' Scone'. And their State slogan ought to be -- Leave Us A Scone, or, Utah -- No Scone Left Unturned.
    Even the hippies in Utah get sconed, but not on the road. AfterShock spent a whole month in Salt Lick City one day, and didn't see any scone on the road. He didn't see any adult beverages served in the restaurants either. It's probably a good thing AfterShock doesn't partake upon the spirits. With him, it's just a general rule, but it seems it's a Cardinal no-no for the Latter Day Saints. I say, 'to each their own. Live and let live.
    If y'all ever get the chance to have a sit-down, jabber-jaw with AfterShock, it'll be quite evident that AfterShock is one of the brighter bulbs on the billboard. One of the pieces of sage advice AfterShock is fond of passing along to anyone who'll listen is, 'If y'all don't stand for SOMEthing -- y'all will fall for ANYthing.'
    This is especially true in Utah and message board threads haunted by folks who're prone to spreading the good word about C.R. England. With their vividly convoluted imaginations inventing non-factual things about AfterShock's successfully stellar life and accomplishments in a vain effort to cause him to appear more on their personal level -- lost without a clue --, it becomes abundantly apparent that, rather than rise to the occasion and look stark reality in the eye and recognize that AfterShock is living the life they're only dreaming about experiencing, they're content to bury their collective heads in the sand and pretend that AfterShock is somehow in need and wanting what he's already found. That being the key to darned near every door.
    Been there, done that,...... then wrote the book, complete with detailed instructions and directions on how to get here from there.
    But, alas!
    It seems there are those who will shoot the messenger and ignore the message, preferring instead, to make up a story as they go stubbornly along -- a story only dreamed or imagined that fits their description of a place they've never seen and demotes to "morons", those who have made the trip successfully, in reality.
    Their's is a sad story in the end because there will be those who follow -- searching for what they won't find.
    AfterShock can offer all his advice at a bargain price to others, but he can't live their lives for them. Nor would he IF he could.
    For me, if I have but one life to live,.......
    let me live it as AfterShock.
    Color me satisfied and content. "Guard" of my own "security".
    Side bar............................ Is that the "quit" reaction you were anticipating, Ma?
    I only hope it was as entertaining for you to read as it was for AfterShock to write.
    Too bad Bully Boy Billy ignores this stuff.
    Even worse is that he finds it necessary to ignore. What comes to the mind of AfterShock is, if Bully Boy Billy can't handle what AfterShock writes, how is he ever gonna be able to handle the Big truck truckin' industry?
    Hmmmmmmmmmmm
    If AfterShock had a mind to answer his own question, I'm thinkin' he'd say 'he won't'. And I reckon AfterShock would mention that ignoring is exactly the same as hiding,..........
    only different.
    Imagine that and
    go figure.
    AfterShock is a baaaadd man.
    Yes he is. :biggrin_25521:
    Unless you have been around trucks, and I mean around, not driving, like in a family thing. I wouldn't as a newbie, go buy a truck right off get go. Too many things to know, and not to mention the business part. I've seen many good drivers, but bad business men.
    Starting out is always rough. But if your a losy business person with no money to start with, that's suicide in this business.
    Now about CR England, never worked for them, but just think, your coming there with nothing. Yes you may not do too well at first, but I've owned trucks and that's being in business. Work is there, it's how you handle it, and you always start in the negative and that's with every business. Once your reliable and trustworthy and on time with the loads, you can make money.
    I knew a guy years back that hit a gold mine. He hauled jet engines from california to New york Airports. Pick up a flat bed with the bad ones and to california, and the rebuilt back to new york. He bought a new truck every 6 years or so. He always had a smile on his face, yep it was a tired smile. Now that was some time ago, but the point here is, it's a tough business and if your co riding with a jerk, and I had some like that, it makes every trip harder.[IMG]
    You keep saying the same thing. You had a bad experience, so have I, too many to count. You keep kicking that bucket of same old statements and your blood pressure will kill you.:biggrin_2556:
    It sure don't sound like your a trucker. Junkie companies are all around, and you take your bag and go some where else.
    If your not careful, you won't have to worry about them Guards you keep referring too, it's going to be the guys in them white coats that will get you.:biggrin_2559:
    Chill brother--CR england isn't going out of busines because you have the might of your word here. You wish you had a piece of that action. You went there, so it shows you weren't smart compared to the guy that's happy and doing good. Gee partner, your making the highways of the country wet with your tears.
    You are obsessed with this, you break quotes down, and reconstruct them, in a strange manner. You have a lot of time on your hands. It's interesting why you brought up drugs,california is the cocaine users paradise. People that use drugs talk alot about them. They dwell for long periods of time on one subject, and are NEVER WRONG.
    REHAB---see your telling me all about you--that's the way they talk. Me myself and I. that's the reason you were kicked out of cr england
    AFTERSHOCK I find that quit interesting that you bring that up about drugs, I was talking about truckers and driving, and how it is. I see you don't know what it is, cause your a siffy, use alot of hankerchiefs don't you.
    TRUCKER WITH NO ANSWER I have your tagg-----sniffy
    I have no idea , what your point is, but your enjoying this and I see right through you. Best thing to do is ignore people like you. My friend was right, you are a troll--yep sure are.
    Why I answer you I don't know, I see you are yourself a wanna be, and shouldn't of been talking about a subject you don't know anything about. NOW BREAK ALL THESE QUOTES DOWN, your wasting your time
    Since I'm the only one answering you, there's a clue right there--sooo Bye Bye.:biggrin_25513:
    YeAH!
    A BIG clue.
    Are you getting the same "clue" I am?
    Or, are you clueLESS?
    Too-Ta-Lew!
    Catch y'all on the flip-flop.
    I'll stay right here so you can find me. Or "see through" me, as the case may be. I see you're transparent. Maybe that's why I find you so entertaining.
    Whatever you decide, I've enjoyed the pleasure of our conversations. I think you're a stand-up guy. I just don't agree with all of your opinions. But I acknowledge everyone is entitled to their own opinion(s). Some of my best friends are at opposite ends when it comes to opinions. That sure makes for interesting and stimulating conversations. How boring would it be if we all agreed on everything?
    To your credit, you've hung in there while others chose to ignore. That causes me to wonder what they are/were afraid of? Mere words? Thoughts?
    More likely, I think, it's a fear of the truth, knowing how hard it is to dispute the truth, and how much easier it is to ignore the truth, or to just make it up as they go along. Facts confuse them.
    My hope is that this thread opens some eyes when they're trying to find any "good" in C.R. England trucking company. And I thank you for helping me do that.
    My goal is to prevent folks from making a mistake in choosing a company to drive for. When wannabees and/or newbees with no Big truck truckin' industry experience to use as a gauge are informing others of the virtues of any Big truck truckin' company, before they even know which way is up -- I consider that a dis-service, and setting others up for a potential heartache. And that just ain't right!
    You can call me a "troll" if that's what you REALLY think I am. But, the ULTIMATE troll is C.R. England.
    That's my opinion.
    Other's might agree,
    or not.
    That's their decision.
    Well you have to remember that you have to plan ahead, because when your out on the road, by yourself, or with a partner. There's more then just driving to be concerned about. I just keep a credit card, or debit card handy. I don't know what else to tell you. It ain't like being home where you can just go out to the refrigerator.
    New drivers just don't realize that your life style changes when you take this type of job.
    Tip here too. I always kept some first aid, and stomach remedies. Also I had some medication for the runs like keopectate. Asprin, Tylenol and so on.Take it from me, it came in handy. I even had a pill called LOMOTAL from the doctor for the runs. Works real fast, and can get you through.
    When I first started, my partner laughed at me, he had 28 years under his belt. Yes He laughed till he ate the wrong thing. Well after I dug in my bag of tricks, he didn't laugh anymore and on the next trip he had a bag of remedies too.
    This is all leading up to that you have to plan ahead, you'll learn.
    An old trucker, is like fine wine, they get better with age.
    Answer to your question, is a good one. But i'll say this, you have a big advantage with a computer nearby.
    If you have the experience, you'll know that it's a rough business, and that there are more rules in the trucking industry then potholes on a city street. Insurance companies are the main reason why all the rules have changed .
    For information, you just listen to the other drivers, and ask around. Form you own opinion.
    Why all the rules, well one reason is because there were people that shouldn't be on the road, and double booking, overloading and causing accidents, and what have you. So the big brother government came in and changed all that. Has It improved??
    I don't think so.
    Answer to your question!
    Talk to a driver you have seen that drives a truck, not what's on here. People hide behind computer and just babble. I'm older then you, and I found out everyday I'm learning something new.
    About CR England. Never worked for them, or hauled for them when I owed a truck. But I can reason here that if they have been in Business for 75 years, as their add says, they must have work, and contacts, now if you know anything about this business, you just add a truck to that and your off. It's all up to you with any company. Now it's finding one that suits you, back to the research part.
