Hello,
My question is in this industry, can a driver work 6 months full time and then take 3 months off and return again and again to work 6 full months?
Have you heard of cases where drivers can do this type of off and on schedule?
Thanking you in advance for considering this question,

Temp services are ideal for this. You pick and choose you're own schedule and the companies you work for. Several temp services hire cdl A drivers. Google : temp services El Paso.
Swift and TransAm have a few drivers that do that, but each time they come back to work, have to go through the hiring process over again.
ADP - Work Force Now, may be a temp service.
Blue Collar Express hires part-time drivers.Last edited: Jun 3, 2017

I've got two drivers who do this, they bust their butts, meet the goals we agree on and then park the trucks for 4 month and then go right back to it.

I've never heard of this. I've heard of other programs 3 weeks out, one week off or 7 on - 7 off....but never a person letting a truck sit for 3 to 6 months. -
I worked for a company before they closed. Work 6 months take a month to six weeks off. My stuff stayed in the trk. Supervisor said trk needs a holiday also
Plus it gave them time to go all the little things that needed to be donewore out Thanks this.
