Seriously I would pick something Professional and Generic to help blend in. And as Short as possible as you will be writing the name all the time. I kept Same tongue and Cheek name I’d had for years when I got my Authority and had to put it on the Truck. The name no doubtedly has caused many a DOT Inspection. They either Love it or Hate it. But it definitely lets them know I’m Independant. I have been inspected way more than anyone has ever heard of possible and have always passed except for a few minor violations.

What I've learned. Make it short and see if you can get the domain for it so you can get an email address that matches it. I pay Google $5/month for my email address that is myname@mytruckingcompany.com This makes it super easy to remember for brokers and everyone else you deal with. However, my company name is way too long. It's a pain. It's 24 letters altogether. Stupid mistake with what I thought was a catchy name. Now I'm stuck.

You can still have fun with this stuff though. My handle for many years has been 86Scotty. Naturally when I needed a number for my tractor it was 86. I recently bought my own trailer so of course my trailer number is.......75309.

I've heard people say that using the word " trucking " in the title of your trucking company makes it sound unprofessional.

Personally I thin these people are yuppie insects.
