Been talking to a recruiter off and on for a couple weeks and bit the bullet. They are running my background and MVR and if I get the clear I should be heading into training soon. Not sure how long it will be before I head to the terminal to start class but I am pretty excited to be bringing in some bacon again.
Any tips on what I should bring? I was going to pickup a cheap pair of waterproof steel toe boots if I get the green light.
Possibly joining the crew

Bit the bullet on Swift, Knight was the other one but they make you go to Phoenix now and you have to pay for transport there and hotel/food and transport while there. I was like yeah not happening and your still charging 3grand for class. -

Get some comfortable driving shoes so you don't have to wear the boots except when at shippers/receivers.Canned Spam and Sneakerfix Thank this. -

I would not be wearing the boots while driving heh. They would be for outside the truck say snow/ice chaining up stuff like that. I'm frugal its how I was raised, I could make $2000 a week and I would still choose the cheap shoes if they feel fine to me
The most I ever splurged on a pair of shoes was because I go hiking a lot so I bought a pair of Merrel trail shoes and they were $140 that was 3 years ago and I still wear them daily. I did put some gel inserts in them though.HalpinUout Thanks this.
