My husband and I will be starting school soon as have been trying to do our homework regarding the companies we have available for us. It seems that good starter companies for teams are hard to come by in the center of Florida. USX came highly recommended by the school. I know from reading on here that recruiters may not be the best people to be trusting. I have asked about the claim that they will pay 'up to .48 cpm' but they have not responded. I see that they are on a sliding scale. Which concerns me. I make about 32k right now and my husband about 40k. We are looking to do much better. As a team who wants to stay gone, given the average... Is this possible? The recruiter also said the average team makes 62k/ yr each. How true is that with USX? I know there are pros and cons to every company out there. I just want to try to make the best decision for us. Our first year I really want to make at least what we are making now. More is always better!! Thank you for any info you can provide.

Keep in mind whenever talking to school recruiters that they are going to recommend or refer you to certain companies no matter what. They are being paid by those companies to do so. I have never personally driven for USX so I couldn't tell you either way. There are however a lot of companies out of this area that are excellent companies and will hire new husband/wife teams. My wife and I team drove for Central Refrigerated and we live in Central Florida. Our first year as company drivers we did $160,000! Our second year as lease drivers we did well over $200,000! You can make a lot of money as husband/wife team drivers. Be sure to ask the recruiters if they are able to keep a team busy. Not all mega-carriers can do this! You do want to aim for a company fairly large in size. Though they do not have to be a mega-carrier. Another really good company in which you can make very good money is Armellini. They run floral and usually do 5-7 day trips originating out of Florida. It is a little more work but you get paid by the stop and by the mile! Keep checking Craigslist. I have seen a lot of good gigs posted on there! Also try this website too...

Good luck guys... If you have any teaming ?'s feel free to "pm" me!
