somebody on here has to know where one is sitting that the exterior is in pretty good shape, but the interior needs redone

They are still out there but getting them cheap is the deal. Them old custom made sleepers are still holding their value much more then the factory ones. The old polished aluminum “Sun Burst” Mercury’s are the most sought after and bring good $ in any condition.

The 60” mercury I have gutted with 4 doors doesn’t weigh much. Everything on them is aluminum except the steel cab mount crossmembers. Two men can lift it on and off a frame if gutted. Add all the interior insulation,ply wood, padding and vinyl quilting it starts to add up but I know many still weigh less then a factory unit.
