I agree with the crossing the straps. I end up with something similar at times and 'X" my straps to capture it.

I was kinda banned from loading out of there. Don't know what changed but I'd kinda like to go back to being banned.
JD said to represent the name on the door. It's not my name on the door so I'm choosing to yell at the name on the door instead of the shipper.

It seems that everything I haul is round. I'm waiting for the day they figure out how to make a square water pump.

    Which part?

I was told not to yell at the shipper in question. Or any shippers. To let the owner of the company I drive for handle the issues instead of me. So, like JD posted, I'm trying to represent the name on the door. And let him handle the issues.

I had choice words with this shipper a couple months ago and wasn't wanted on the property. Which was fine by me.

What I'm wondering is what your customs invoice looks like with that mess of a load.
I can just imagine the kids who ride the short bus to Livingston International handling that one.
Is it 13 pages long or just listed as one big ol load a junk?

Customs is usually just one page, and BOL just says one truckload too. It's going from one "warehouse" to another "warehouse". I have other paperwork hidden that has more info. We try to keep it simple for the customs brokers. They gave me the run around couple weeks back because the weight on the BOL and the customs invoice didn't match. Friggin' annoying.

Man you see see the invoice I get when I haul the tool containers for one of my customers into Canada. The containers are basically mobile shops built into 20 footers. The invoice is usually somewhere between 50-100 pages because they list every single hand tool and socket individually. If you can pick it up and walk out of the container with it the part is on the list. I think they basically just copy over their inventory listing for it.

I hope to god that customs never gets an itch to look inside to confirm the invoice. I'll be there for a week while they look for a missing 3/8" drive 1/2" socket.
