Deadheading is cheaper. Better fuel mileage and less wear and tear on the trk. I know it pays the fuel.....

I'm slowly grasping that dollars per mile is different than hours tied up on a load. If your truck can pull $2 a mile, if it's sitting at a shipper, is it not losing $120 an hour potential revenue?
It seems to be the most controversial subject on here. Yes I know you ain't hauling for $2 a mile.
But $2 a mile for 15 hours on a load is a lot different than $2 mile and 30 hours invested.

Yes, there are times in the long run it is cheaper to bounce. 2 days to home, versus 3 to 4 waiting to ld. Tie down run to customer and miss delivery time. Then sit another day to unld. All for fuel money. No thanks

Lovely tarp job on this 8' crate. Who can tell me what I did wrong... 2" strap fixed my dumbness. It was only 83 during this tarp job.

Simple OD load 114" less than 3000#. LOL Got to pick up early and it was ready. Shipper says if you take it now you'll have to tarp it. "WHAT YOU TALKIN BOUT WILLIS?" But if I wait till the morning no tarp needed. So I slept there. They said it's for food grade place.
At delivery the thing was covered in bugs. Consigned unloaded and laughed as they placed it outside next to the building in the rain when I said they wanted me to tarp it. Love it...
