A crane can't unload eye to the sky either without appropriate attachments.

Furthermore if they need to load them into whatever machine uses them a certain way it can take a new piece of equipment to flip it without damaging it.

    Logan76 and G13Tomcat Thank this.

Back when I was with tmc I picked up a load of eye to the sky coils for a plant that made machine parts for cars over in York pa, the load consisted of 45 individually banded skidded coils, worse #### load ive ever hauled. Each one weighted between 800 and 1100lbs. wish i had a picture for you

Picked them up in delta ohio from Fulton county processors

Makes sense, to a point. It's on the shipper and driver for the most part, however... more so than the receiver, so it seems. However they want it, they get it... as long as y'all know what you're doing with securement, probably pays rather well~!

Not as much as you would think. Coil rates are really #### anymore

Rates are in the crapper for a lot of commodities, it seems. Dang shame. Only thing keeping me afloat is the 'warm' start to the winter, and the asphalt still chasing my tail to get ran to the pavers.

That's the other reason I come over to transport. The fact that they don't haul much typical freight. The tank heads are keeping me busy

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

I always follow you on that, bro. It's not out of the question whatsoever here either.

Sounds like a van load if that’s all they weighed.

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.
