Welcome to boarder crossing. I did it weekly for two years with 3-6 different brokers on each load. It was a real pain.

Wait until your customer changes brokers and no one notices. The office sent the paperwork to the old broker who actually processed the load all the way through customs. It was never their load to clear. That was a real headache.

Silly question I can't tell from the rout posted..
Is the route in MI I94 to I75 and points south?
Or are you doing I94 to I696 to I275?

I ask as if it's I94 to I75 there is a very tight turn, I believe a 35mph one, on 75 in downtown. Just be careful with that long load in there, it'll be tight.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

It won’t be I-94 to I-75 south because i75 south is completely gone south of Detroit. It’s a long term (2-3 years) compleat demolition and rebuild.

@kylefitzy The customs agent told me last night that I will need new ace manifest, pars, entry number, everything. Is this true?

How many digits will the entry number Be? The number they gave me this morning is 8digits long.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

Your ace and paps sticker (pars is for going into Canada) combine together with a trip number, to get sent to a broker. The broker sends it to the border. Arrival time plus port of entry needs to be noted. Once the border clears it they enter an entry number in the system.
An entry number could be 8 digits but it's usually longer

    SAR and Oxbow Thank this.
