I've never done coils. But I'm curious. Isn't the rack supposed to be inside the edge of the coil? Or did it move out?

kylefitzy, cke and SAR Thank this.

No you're exactly right. Since l do so many coil loads l have 4 coil racks fastened together with 2 4' pieces of 1x1 angle. It makes it faster to turn the racks to load shotgun or suicide. They also stay put better if the crane operator is rough or just blind ;). You can't see the two inner racks in the picture. They're spaced 2' apart. And the total width is 4' that coil was 38" wide. The crane op put the crane in the rack on an angle and between it being a little narrow and softwood it broke it. It would have been safe to run it but l had proper wood so he picked up the coil and l changed the wood for proper hardwood. 2 minutes of my life l won't get back. ;)

Nice T800. Don't see them with the external air cleaners in south Alabama.

Years ago when the money was stupid I pulled hundreds of them. Those are probably 57-60 meter blades. They will be anywheres from 200-220ft long. I quit pulling blades because they began to pay the same as the windmill hubs. I began pulling hubs, and would see some of the guys I ran with before. Would you believe the SEHCTIB wouldn’t speak to me? And I was the one that showed them how to do number one standing up.

Those guys are pulling 60m blades for less than what we pulled 39m blades.

    “But Six, it’s blades!”

Sorry, I’m here for the money. No finance, no romance.
