    Noob questions... are those metal plates your chains attach to called J plates? Is it the same thing reitnour trailers use? What keeps the metal plate from sliding front to back in the groove?

    Yes they are J plates. I have a Reitnouer and they appear to be the same as pictured on the MAC.
