No thats generally where they break. I wasnt there but l'm sure l would have heard about someone hitting it first. I have no reason to lie. The company l pull for lost an older East and it broke in the same area. A 4 axle Reitnouer out of Quebec broke in the same fashion a couple years ago.

 

Actually that's a pretty typical spot to break in any trailer, especially stepdeck and lowboy trailers.

 

I believe you are right now I think of it. That's where my East cracked the webbing and bottom flange right at the spead.

Got my driver running a 1&1 down to the island in the am. His first solo run for me.

The 2nd picture I done two of those loads.... 2nd time stupid tarp came off when I unrolled it on top and the rigging company had left.... not a good day. Caused me not to be able to deliver until the next day because of oversized curfew in Atlanta.
