@pavrom gut straps would have done a lot to prevent that shift. About midway up the stack a strap through the middle like on the front stack of this load.

 

And I was in one at my first shipper with an RGN!

 

I was parked next to a 53' and looked like my usual flat in comparison.

 

It’s just a tandem.

 

A 3rd axle would make it 52ft and some change....

That ain't no lie. I drive a CAT CT660 daycab with an XL110 RGN. Most of the time hauling a CAT 316 track hoe, and sometimes have the hammer too. To get my axle weights right with these "G" steer tires, I have to run my 5th wheel about halfway back. Makes for some interesting cornering on these lease roads. I am working on getting the company to put the right steer tires on this thing so I can take advantage of the 13200 steer axle, and shorten up my overall length a little.

 

I've got a question from that last load. I didn't get back in time to load it myself so somebody else did, and they had chained the track frame in the front and only near the dump on the back. It had the rotation lock on, but is that something that can be relied on to keep the vehicle dead straight for securement?
