The Mothership trying to rig stuff up? Say it aint so.....Pretty soon you will shatter all my illusions of them mate!
They were pulling the big Siemens blades out of Ia this year on their new fancy 3 axle blade trailers. Only problem was, the drivers couldn't get to 40k on the drives! One guy stripped the truck right down, even removing the TV from the sleeper! They said to run them and they would pay the tickets in Ia. Only problem is.....You get rearended and a family dies. Lawyer does his homework and you are over 40k in Ia. You go to jail not the big wigs....Our 3rd truck this year told them to stuff it when he was at 42k on the drives.

I just think when you look at what was once a beautiful range of hills and valleys and see nothing but blades and blinking red lights at night,.. well,.. I think its ugly.

I agree, they aren't the most pleasant things to look at.

From what I've heard from guys that have been hauling them bases for many years is that ATS tried using those lightweight trailers a few years ago as well. They were too light and the end of the base had more weight and caused them to get "pushed" a lot. So they went back trying to redesign them?? Either way, somebody screwed the pooch on that one.

This was what they call a Gen. 3 trl. They just started using them late last year and more early this year.
The problem is I believe is they are like a lot of the bigger players. Trying to haul more weight, but using less steel..
Kinda like using a Can van trl. to haul roll paper in it all the time.. -
