Yeah my truck is stupid heavy also. I come in at 33,700 lbs with full tanks and all my stuff. I don’t know how much lower I can get it by switching to a full aluminum trailer but that’s my next purchase. Current trailer is a transcraft combo.

 

The Reitnouer 48s seem to be about 9-10,000.

 

Still think I’m a bit heavy. My truck is a w900 and is 19,480 lbs no fuel and naked. Add in 175gal of fuel, headache rack, 12 chains and binders, I’m sure it’s pushing 22,000. So my current trailer is about 11,700 lbs.

 

I've got an all aluminum 48 Reitnouer and with all my crap and full on fuel I'm 32800... I need to do some serious spring cleaning when the weather breaks and get rid of stuff I do not use or need on this truck.

 

Youre right on the $ on the weight.

A 53ft Fontaine combo step behind that truck was just shy of 34k iirc.

Pretty serious forktruck unloaded me the other day. Picked up 35000lbs of plate in one lift without straining. The forks were close to 6" thick and it was chain drive to boot! Don't remember seeing a chain drive one before.

 

I want this fella.

Be no more crawling under stuff. Pick it up or flip it over to work on it.
