Grabbed my flatbed. Screw this, grabbing my rgn tomorrow!!! Now I know why my flatbed sits.... it’s too much work

 

A business went under and auctioned off an ancient machine. I hate these auction loads so much but I didn’t know it was one until I got there. Thing is dripping with grease and loose bolts and hoses. After 5 hours loading they said it needed to be tarped. Broker says no tarp. Auction people said if I leave without tarping he will call the cops. Another 2 hours later they decided it will be tarped. Broker wouldn’t pay more than $50. I canceled load and unchained/strapped and they unloaded me. This was yesterday, blowing the entire day and night worth of work. This morning I started to book a different load when broker and I finally had an arrangement to make it worth it. So I got reloaded and resecured and tarped. I blew an entire day and maybe more but once you see the pics you’ll understand why $50 tarp fee wouldn’t be enough. So I secured this twice and unsecured once, I was beat. 8 binders, 5 chains, 10 straps or so. 38 degrees and raining.

 

That's not delivering to Wisconsin is it?

 

Did they specify why they wanted to call the police?

Ok I've done 1 auction load with a very similar experience. Same type of machinery, everything covered in oil. 12 hours to load. Just a complete mess.

It went to Wisconsin that's why I was asking, thought maybe it was the same company. My unload went smoothly, hopefully yours does.
