    I don’t mind tarping and it’s rare I actually do it. But... just once I want to tarp something square. I’m so tired of tarping oddball stuff I’m REALLY considering getting my 4ft drop tarps without flaps. Trying to tarp the ends if it’s like a triangle shape is a pain in the butt.

    About that....

    Bigger trailer doesn't mean no tarping. Just means the ###### tarps get bigger too.

    @Razororange
    I'm curious. I see you got 17.5's on the main trailer. Have you ever run into any jurisdictions that cut your max weight down on them vrs the low pro 22.5? Or are they treated the same?

    They are treated the same. Each tire is rated for ~5500 lbs I think so everything is still within ratings at 20K per axle.

    I even managed to get Arizona to give me 60K on the tridem. Everything I've been told before said they wouldn't do it and would limit me to 56 something. I was surprised to see it approved on the permit.

    The only state I have problems in is Utah. For some reason they won't let me have 100K on the back 5. They limit me to 98K. Which is fine because my booster runs a bit heavy anyways so I end up running 58-40 back there. Only thing I can figure is maybe a spacings issue. Back five are 5'-5'-14'2"-5'.

    Guy I bought my trailer from replaced it with a new 3-3-3 Aspen running 17.5s on all 9 axles. Said he saved about 3500lbs on his tare over running lo pro 22.5s.

    Thanks.
    The old 10' wide p.o.s trailer we had was on 17.5's
    A real oddball...
    I loved the low rear height. It came in handy for lots of things.
    But that being said. It never got pulled far enough/ long enough to build any real tire heat. Or have wear issues.
    What's your opinion on them running heavy cross country?

    OLDSKOOLERnWV, sawmill, Oxbow and 7 others Thank this.
